Sandahl, Mary C. age 51, of Edina, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2014 surrounded by family. Mary grew up in southwest Minneapolis, but was at home anywhere in the world. She traveled extensively and settled for extended periods in Seattle, WA; Page, AZ and Boise, ID. She loved the outdoors and was a regular visitor of national and state parks. Upon returning to Minnesota, she provided care for families at Heritage of Edina for the past 12 years. She was an RN and case manager by title, but more importantly a spirited, kind and compassionate soul by nature. She is preceded in death by her father, John R. Wareham. Survivors include her husband, Dan; sons, Charlie and John; mother, Irene Wareham; brothers, Bill (Linda) Wareham, Peter (Mary Jo) Wareham, John Wareham (Sladjana Dirakovic), Tom (Chris) Wareham and Dave (Lizzie) Wareham; many nieces and nephews, as well as many, many friends. A memorial service will be held at 7 PM Thursday at Washburn- McReavy Edina Chapel, 5000 West 50th St., with visitation from 4-7 PM. Memorials preferred to the donor's favorite charity.
