3/20/2022 Meeting Notes


1. Venue Update:
—Bob will meet with Venue coordinator in April to firm up food and arrangements; Christi may attend this meeting
—Bob will arrange a weekend or Friday gathering the last part of April so that folks can view the space if desired
—We will have at least 2 rooms with partitions, and other rooms may be available if not booked
—Suggestion to have both high tops and medium size tables to allow folks to sit in small groups
—Need to check on mic, speakers, additional charges for AV use
—Suggestion to have balloons; flowers will be on memorial table

2. Payment Options:
—Zelle platform tested with Wells Fargo; may need to test with additional bank
—At least one check to be mailed; Veronica setting up EDI
—Nancy is working on her end as well

3. Nametags:
—Class creator can generate nametags
—Class of 80 photos uploaded for registrants; class of 81 may elect to scan yearbook photos in if they choose

4. Fun Committee:
—Margaret and Nancy will emcee; we may have “rolling activities” throughout the night

— Project schedule or have a handout or poster to encourage people to stay the entire evening
—Poster board for attendees to write “what advice would you give your high School self” and  resent to SWHS to be given to Seniors or posted in hallway
—Take your own selfie “booth” will be separate area with backdrops for photos and props
—June has found some fun signs; need additional props
—Need backdrops with SWHS and Elementary schools
—Music corner with Bose-style speaker (may need other AV)
—Retro Images Video with game to see how many images folks can remember (Margaret)
—Other Suggestions:
—get updates on “most likely to” candidates from Yearbook
(Need to coordinate how to get info from classmates)
—Interactive poll of attendees with questions like:
—Who traveled farthest
—Who has the most grandchildren
—Who is retired, etc

5. Segregating Classes:
—consensus is that this will happen naturally…no need to orchestrate

6. “Sales Pitch” suggestion to encourage more registrations
—Decision to add “promotional video” to email blast by May 1
—Come with brief question or statement about “why to attend” to be recorded on next Zoom meeting

7. Logo Use:
—Agreed to use 80’s logo in communication, but not in print, out of respect to mascot change

8. Next Meeting: Zoom, Sunday April 3 at 4pm
—Brief updates and recording of promotional video as above
(come groomed and prepared!)
