30-Year Reunion Committee – November 15, 2009 – Notes

Location Committee Update - Saturday, July 17th, 2010 at the Radisson University – Humphrey Ballroom
• Food Sub-Committee - Appetizer Selection – Christi. Susan, & Jonathan will choose later.
• Price of Event - $35 before 6/1/10 - $45 after 6/1/10 - $55 at the door
• Sound System for Vinyl, CD’s, & MP3’s – Christi found that they can be rented for $150-$300 depending on options. Alan to see if there is a separate room.
• Slide Show – The hotel should have an electronic screen to plug in a laptop.
• Reserving Rooms – 10 rooms reserved at $110/night.
• Memorial display to be setup.
• Nametags with senior picture need to be printed.
• Jonathan to work on SWAG (gift) bags.
• It was decided that a photographer should be hired instead of one that charges nothing to take pictures, but then charges individuals per picture.

Treasurer Update
• Status of 20-Year Reunion Checking Account – State returned $1,730 and new checking/savings accounts setup.
• Alan to be another signer on accounts.
• PayPal account setup for accepting donations/reunion payments.

Publicity Committee Update
• Website Setup – http://www.southwesthigh80.com/ - $97 for Class Creator + $7.67 Domain Name (both for 1 year).
• Classmates are starting to register.
• Can be used to collect event money. Donation option added.
• Senior Yearbook Pictures Scanned – Missing the “F’s” -- Will be fixed.
• A Survey will be added.
• 100+ classmates positively communicated with electronically

Other Weekend Events
• Those that had express interest in helping, but were from out of town, have been contacted about starting a committee to plan other events. Additionally discussion posted to the Facebook group. No responses so far. Christi to look into a potluck picnic on Sunday, July 18th at Beard’s Plaisance (West Lake Harriet Parkway and 45th St. W).
